it's time to go for a walk and discover Port Fairy !
Port Fairy is home to many prestigious events throughout the year such as the internationally acclaimed Port Fairy Folk Festival, Winter Weekends, Port Fairy Spring Music Festival and the Ex Libris Book Fair.
With cottage lined streets, historic bluestone buildings and fantastic old pubs there is lots to discover.
We suggest a wander along the causeway which leads to Griffith Island. In the winter months you might be lucky enough to spot a southern right whale, a pod of dolphins or seals frolicking in the waves as you walk along one of our beautiful, pristine beaches.
Follow the walking track that takes you right round the island, past the much photographed lighthouse, then along to the beach where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the rocky coast and sandy bays.
If gentler pursuits are your want then pick up an
Historic Walks Map from the Port Fairy Visitor Information Centre and explore the living history of our town.
Port Fairy won the 2012 international Livcom Award for 'Most Livable Community' and we're excited to share all that our wonderful town has to offer!
